Devlog 2 – Zombie Apocalypse Revamp

Over the last couple of weeks, we have overhauled Zombie Apocalypse to give the game more depth make it more fun:

New Game Modes

Doing the Wave

Instead of a steady stream of Zombies spawning, they come in waves.  Five waves of monsters come, each a bit tougher than the last.  There is a brief rest between each wave,  but don’t get too comfortable.  New custom mobs come out in the later waves.


Obtain Your Goal

Some of the maps are just fighting off monsters, like you’ve always done.  But other maps have you meet objectives:

  • Defend something or someone,  This is the only one we have implemented so far, but watch of these coming soon:
  • Kill or capture something being protected by the Zombies
  • Get to a certain place being defended by Zombies



In-Game Economy

There is now an in-game shop where you can upgrade your weapons and armor. You start out with some gold, and you earn gold by killing mobs. You can upgrade your gear in-between waves. Dying will set you back some gold.

Supply Drops

A supply drop is now available in the store.


This valuable lifeline provides you with additional supplies for 20 matches of Zombie Apocalypse. Each drop is randomized and includes two pieces of armor and a weapon, each gold or better. Plus you get torches, building blocks, food, and sometimes potions. Use your head start to build a base or craft better weapons!
