Reports, Locks and Appeals…

Do I report it?

A majority of our reports are posted on our Discord and are handled accordingly, along with our appeals process and we’ll touch on that in a bit, but once in a while we are contacted via Twitter and Facebook. For users reporting hackers, we happily give them a link where they can submit their formal report along with whatever form of proof they have of someone hacking. For users wanting to report inappropriate behavior like swearing or dating in chat, feel free to tweet those reports to us as well as on our forums. Please keep in mind that no matter what kind of offense you are reporting, we require some form of proof like a screencap or a video before any action can be taken. The reason we ask for some form of proof is so that no one is locked under a false report.

If you’ve ever questioned what’s appropriate to report, you can look at it like this: did you see a user do something that you wouldn’t do in front of your parents? Are they doing something that is a clear violation of our Terms and Conditions (see them here: ? If you answered “yes” to either of these questions, go right on ahead and report that user you just witnessed hacking or swearing.

My account got locked! Help!?

You’ve had a long day at school and you’re ready to play some LBSG. You open up the Minecraft app on your device, pick your favorite Lifeboat server and then as soon as you join, you get that ugly brown prompt screen… Your account has been locked.

What do you do now?

The next step is to post an appeal on our website. When sending an appeal, the most important thing to remember is that no matter what the offense, you need to put your information in the appeal so we can handle your appeal in a timely manner and with ease. Be sure to put the Lifeboat username that was locked, the reason you were locked and politely list why you’d like to be unlocked. The users that are calm, collected and truly acknowledge that they messed up are more inclined to get a second chance but remember three very important things:

  • Second chances are not guaranteed and are at the discretion of the staff member handling your appeal.
  • As a registered user, it is your responsibility to know what our Terms and Conditions are as well as what is deemed a lockable offense.
  • Previous purchases do not give you special privileges when it comes to locks and appeals. While we really do appreciate the support, you still need to follow the rules.


Keep in mind that once you’ve sent your appeal, it is up to the staff member to decide whether your appeal is granted or denied based on the violation that’s occurred. If your appeal is denied, the staff member will list why it was denied but if your appeal is granted, you’ll be reminded that you only get one second chance. If your account is locked for a second time, for any reason, the lock will remain permanent and you will not be given a refund for your purchases (if you’ve made any).
