Why can I only play for 2 hours per day?

It was the fairest way to allocate scarce resources.

Lifeboat rents a total of 231 physical servers in a few different data centers. In the summer months, that cannot support player demand. So, the fairest way we could make sure everyone had a chance to play was to limit the amount of time people can play for free.

How do I play different games?

The Lifeboat Network has a broad selection of games you can play. There is a couple of ways that you can join other games:

Recommended Method:

Follow the “Getting Started” guide by entering “” as the IP Address. Once you connect, you will be able to tap on any gamemode you like and join instantly. This is the easiest method.

More difficult Method:

When I join Prison Server I can't play. Why?

Playing on the popular Prison Server requires you meet one of the following requirements:

1) You have a GOAT / MVP subscription.
2) You have a Prison Pass.

You can view our shop on our dedicated Lifeboat app (AppStore, or GooglePlay) or you can sign-in and buy it directly here: Prison pass is a one time purchase of $4.99, or you can purchase GOAT / MVP and get a ton of benefits across all gamemodes on our network.

Which version of Minecraft do your servers support?

We currently support the 0.15.0 (ancient), 0.16.0 (old), and 1.0.0 (current) versions using our new version tolerant architecture. You can join “” to be automatically connected with a Lifeboat server that supports your version. You can then select which game you want to play.

Why can’t I join any Lifeboat servers?

Possible problems and solutions:

Full Server

Sometimes our servers reach player capacity. If you’re unable to connect, please try “” to be connected to a server with player slots available.

Bad Username

If your username has special characters, it can cause connection problems. Only letter, numbers, and underscores are allowed.

Internet Connection

You must be connected to Wi-Fi network in order to play on Minecraft Pocket Edition servers. You may also play on Cellular data.
Most public schools and some libraries will block non-web traffic, so you can’t play there. Stay on task, and play when you get home.
If you’re having lots of lag or disconnecting issues, try moving closer to your Wi-Fi router. The more bars you are getting, the better.

Version differences

We always update our servers to the latest version of Minecraft Pocket Edition as soon as possible. We currently support 0.15.0 (ancient), 0.16.0 (old), and 1.0.0 (current) versions. If you are on 0.14.0 or earlier, you will need to update in order to play on the Lifeboat Network. You can update Minecraft PE for free via AppStore for iOS or GooglePlay for Android.

How can I reset my password?

Please use this page to reset your password: This will send you a link to the email address that you used when you registered your account. If you have any issues with this, please contact our support team to receive a prompt response.

We recommend strong secure passwords that are also easy to remember. Do not use your username in the password, or any other pattern that may be easy for players to guess. You want your password to be safe, do not use the same password for multiple things. (e.g. Lifeboat, Email, Facebook etc.)

If you entered your email incorrectly or it has changed, you will need to contact us via Twitter or via Email. Our support team will be happy to assist you.

How can I become a donor?

You can become a donor today by becoming a subscriber to the Lifeboat VIP, MVP or GOAT Ranks to support the network, and to receive some awesome bonuses. Ranks are available as in-app purchases, and can also be purchased via Paypal here. VIP’s, MVP’s and GOAT’s get advantages centered around joining, team selection, kit selection, pets, flying in lobbies, exciting particle effects, and so much more.

How do I use my VIP ranks?

Ranks can be very fun and enhance your experience on our network.
A Lifeboat rank subscription gives you access to VIP on the following gamemodes:

  • Survival Games
  • Bedwars
  • Skywars
  • Capture the Flag
  • Lifeboat Teams
  • Spleef
  • Walls
  • Fleet
  • Frontier

Simply connect to any our gamemodes and the rank will allow you to have additional pets, particle effects, morphs (transform into mobs), toys, priority match joining, ability to fly in lobby, no chat cool-down, no join cool-down, an awesome tag, and eSports team priority. You will see a [GOAT], [MVP], or [VIP+] tag if your VIP is active in your current gamemode. If you believe you have paid for VIP but are not seeing your special tag or benefits, contact our support team for help.

Someone is hacking, can you ban them?

We are continuously making improvements to our anti-cheats software to make the playing experience hacker-free. A win by cheating is no win at all!

If you happen to witness a player who is hacking, please take a screenshot or record a video of them in the act, and send it to us via Twitter (@LifeboatSupport) or to our email address. You can also submit a Hacker Report by clicking that link. Please ensure the username of the hacker is clear to read so that we can ban them from our servers.

I found a bug, can you fix it?

Most of the bugs are Minecraft Pocket Edition’s own issues, and are outside of our control. Others are in software that we do not supply, but we need to run the system. Some are our fault, and some are not. We keep working to eliminate bugs, but we have limited time and resources–so some issues might not be high-priority. Can I transfer a rank between two different accounts?

We no longer allow rank transfers. Our new MVP and GOAT subscriptions are on a month-month basis. If you’d like to transfer your rank, please cancel your current subscription and start a new subscription with the other account that you want the rank associated with.

How can I get the YouTube rank?

You must have a minimum of 2,000 subscribers before being eligible to receive a YouTube rank next to your username on our servers. Please use the YouTube Rank application page here: Please be patient while your application is reviewed by our support representatives.

Why is my rank not showing next to my username?

We have [GOAT], [MVP], [VIP+], and [YouTube] ranks. If you have paid for any rank on the Lifeboat Network but are not seeing the rank tag, please check the following:

  1. Verify that you are logged in on the server. If you have not entered your password and logged in, you are a “guest” and thus the server does not provide your VIP benefits. You must login for your VIP rank to be in effect.
  2. Check your purchase/receipt to verify that you own VIP for the gamemode you are playing. If you are subscribed to our [GOAT] or [MVP] ranks, you have VIP to all gamemodes. If you are unable to use your benefits and have verified payment, please contact our support staff immediately to receive assistance.
